KAZUKI TERAMAE & YOSUKE TAKII vs. RAIPACHI ISOBE & SEIYA NISHIYAMA (SHI-EN, 03/23/2025)
Osaka based promotion Pro-Wrestling Shi-En held their 15th Anniversary show at the Umeda Sky Building Hall in front of almost 500 fans. Although bigger names such as Momoka Hanazono and Naruki Doi participated on the card, I am going to speak about the so called "STYLE-E trainer" and former kickboxer Kazuki Teramae in a tag match alongside Yosuke Takii, who had a match at New Japan's second NEVER show, against heel faction NOTORIOUS, Raipachi Isobe and Seiya Nishiyama.
WATCH IT HERE
Kazuki Teramae has only a couple of pro-wrestling matches under his belt and just debuted last summer, but this team made me really curious to watch. Surely I watched matches from Yosuke Takii before, but only some of his second run as a pro-wrestler when he came back to the squared circle around the Covid-era. But after reading Jom's incredible post about RIKI OFFICE, I was even more curious to see more of Takii's inaugural run until 2011. If you find matches from him of this time period, lemme know. Thanks.
Both Isobe and Nishiyama are playing the usual heel shtick, which made the start of the match a bit slower and getting us even more excited about the part when the faces will take over the match. Seeing Nishiyama doing this type of character is definitely something different and a welcoming change for him, not gonna lie.
Kazuki Teramae's kicks came across pretty decent and I liked that he was the main target for NOTORIOUS as the way more inexperienced guy in his team. Takii's attempt to motivate his partner was a small but cool spot, and when Takii finally got the hot tag, the match took some speed up.
Terame and Takii brought a different dynamic to the match with their kicks and speed. While Raipachi Isobe is a typical scumbag-ish bully, Nishiyama showed that he is an athletic wrestler as well. I really enjoyed the finishing sequence of Nishiyama and Takii with nice kicks and counters until Takii put Nishiyama to sleep with a brainbuster. Fun little undercard match!
